I studied photography at London Guildhall University, graduating in 2004 with a 1st BA Honours Degree. I also have a BTEC Diploma in Art and Design from the University of the Arts London, for which I was awarded a Distinction.
Since setting up in 2006 I have undertaken a variety of commercial photography commissions working with clients such as the US History Channel and the British Museum. Initially, while building up my photography business, I worked simultaneously in London for companies of both public and private sector, ranging from a small PR agency, to a corporate international communications company. Working in these environments has given me an overall understanding of how business operates and an insight into the varying culture and needs of different businesses and sectors.
Having studied design, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the practical application of images used commercially online and in print. I use my creative background teamed with my technical qualifications and broad knowledge of business to transform ordinary images into insightful and original photography. I am a registered member of the SICIP (Society of International Commercial & Industrial Photographers) and have been highly accredited with an Associateship ABPPA (Associate of the British Professional Photographers Associates). The Associate qualification is held by the top 10% of practitioners. The SICIP has a strict code of ethics and assessment that is rigidly enforced to ensure the consumer is not only hiring a talented photographer but also one with impeccable business practices.
